Empowering Nepal through education

My oldest daughter Mirna just got out of school and there was an opportunity to tour with her around in Nepal organised by Unicef for a week. I have been partnering with them for many years to support girls and womens education. This unforgettable trip was about empowering people (in this case women) to take action to make a difference in their lives. We met Dalits (untouchables), trafficking victims, schools drop-out girls, teenage groups and visited many schools, where Unicef is supporting groups to self-help themselves. Seeing is believing. Passionate women told their dramatic stories empowered by the opportunity to make a difference not just for themselves but also people/community around them using simple creative methods to achieve their goals.
