Mind the gap!

After big events like BETT I always get depressed. You hear everywhere in tube (metro) this announcement warning you about the gap between the train and the platform. In educational context in means to me increasing gap between reality and education. The kids now entering kindergarten should be taught how to survive in changing digitalised and automised labour market in 20 yrs when 65% of the current jobs have disappeared. Currently we do not even know the names of these new professions. Where are subjects like 3D, entrepreneurship, business, classes covering social and emotional skills and discovering your passion to start with. We know the gap is there and increasing but we just stick to traditional schooling even harder like NEVER mind the gap. I'll give you one good reason for that...MONEY (it is a big business you know).
